Tides USA started manufacturing dripless propeller shaft seals over 25 years ago, with tens of thousands of products in use around the world fitted to commercial and pleasure craft.
To support overseas clients Tides Marine International Limited, based in Poole UK, commenced operations in 2002 handling sales, providing technical support and developed to become the main overseas distribution hub for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Additional Tides Marine sales offices have been opened working alongside a network of distributors and dealers:-
- Spain opened 2004 (Based in Palma de Mallorca)
- Poland opened 2008 (Based in Damnica)
Tides Marine International originally only supplied Tides Marine US manufactured products to major boat builders in the UK and Europe.
Since 2005 additional boat builders have been added to our client portfolio along with many propulsion equipment manufacturers now specifying Tides Marine shaft seals and rudder tubes as their preferred option. The re-fit and after sales market has also been targeted to ensure service and spare parts are readily available.

For the past 10 years, I have been with Tides Marine, moving from position of Technical Sales Manager to Managing Director 3 years ago. I am a qualified Marine Engineer having served in the Merchant Navy and am responsible for business delivery throughout the Tides Marine Group particularly UK & Europe.
Tides Marine have taken on some new products and with the help of my fabulous team we plan to expand our horizons.
The responsibility of Sales Co-ordinator is to receive and process customer orders and assist the Stores and Shipping Manager in the despatch of goods to customer.
I joined the Tides Marine team in November 2017 with a back ground in Logistics & Supply Chain in the Royal Air Force and Sunseeker International. This experience has given me the understanding of the importance of getting the right parts in the right place at the right time often at short notice to meet engineering requirements.

As Stores and Shipping Manager my job is to ensure that the correct products are received, stored safely and then shipped to our customers in a secure and timely manner. In my seven years at Tides Marine I have built a considerable product knowledge and I am usually the first point of contact for many customers.

As newly appointed Technical sales Manager at Tides Marine International I bring with me Technical engineering knowledge in luxury yacht building.
I recently returned to live in the UK from working on private yachts in the south of France and Monaco. I hold MCA Y4 qualifications as Yacht Chief Engineer as well as 10 years’ experience in Yacht building with Sunseeker International and 12 years’ service as an Aircraft Engineer with the Royal Air force.
I look forward to developing and maintaining our customer base in the UK and Europe with Tides Marine International.
